LONDON – Fireworks Night

The biggest are definitely the Battersea Park fireworks, but to avoid being in the middle of it without gourmet food options, can we suggest you get to the riverside in Chelsea? This big bang happens two days before the actual day this year on Saturday 3rd November. The fireworks begin at 8pm, so your choice, an early supper prior or a late supper following. Either way make sure you have reservations at any of the following so you can pop in for dinner following:

Cheyne Walk Brasserie

A bright modern Provençal brasserie with great steaks cooked on the open grill. Spacious and stylish, jeans and jumpers are absolutely OK.

The Pigs Ear

An award-winning gastro pub tucked away on a picturesque little street in the heart of old Chelsea and a two-minute stroll to the river.

Toms Kitchen

Very Made in Chelsea and always a winner, great food, bustling convivial service. Bookings are an absolute must and don’t be late!

NEW YORK – Thanksgiving

This is definitely an occasion to share with family and friends, but can often be a kitchen challenge, so why not leave all the hard work to someone else and enjoy the afternoon and evening with staff? New York is the kind of town that knows that not everyone has immediate family, but it’s also a city where you can definitely get amongst the vibe. Rally your friends and book now:

The Breslin

April Broomfield will serve you her Michelin starred four course dinner with optional wine pairing for Thanksgiving dinner. Think turkey breast with confit turkey leg and sausage stuffing. Oh, and the pumpkin and apple galette or chocolate brioche bread pudding. Yummy doesn’t even cover it.

Scarpetta

This restaurant is a sensation on any day or night of the week, so the perfect spot in NOMAD to check in for the prix fixe four course Thanksgiving dinner. Short rib and bone marrow agnoletti with garlic chip and horseradish anyone? Roast turkey sings with cranberry agro dolce followed by the dulce de leche gelato.

Rotisserie Georgette

Famous for roasting fowl, so it’s a winner for Thanksgiving, and then some. How about starting with caviar? The roasted heritage turkey with turkey sausage, sage, sweet onion and celery root stuffing is legendary. But if you want to give that the bird, you can always plump for the prime rib of beef with horseradish cream. Gobble gobble.
