When I began working with this warm, charismatic gentleman in his early fifties, he was living in Singapore and navigating life after a recent separation. Philip had lived all over the world and owned homes across several continents. Working in a senior leadership role and a devoted father to two children who lived with him, he had no interest in casual dating. He knew himself well, and what he wanted was a meaningful, long-term relationship.
He described himself as playful, active and a bit of a cheeky chappy, someone who loved to laugh and needed a partner who could truly match his energy. His ideal partner would share a similar international background and global mindset, have the flexibility to spend time across his various homes, and bring a great sense of humour and adventure to life. Although he was based in Singapore, he was completely open to where she might live. For the right woman, he was ready to make it work.
I introduced him to a wonderful woman in her late thirties who was living in London. She was warm, grounded and flexible in her lifestyle, with a remote role that allowed her to travel freely. Her frequent travel mirrored the same global rhythm Philip lived by. This was only his second introduction, yet the moment I spoke to him about her, he lit up.
From their very first video call, the chemistry was instant. They spent several weeks connecting over video, deepening their conversations and building a warm, genuine rapport. Soon after, he flew to London to meet her in person, and their dates were everything they had hoped for. Since then, they have been nurturing an international relationship, and Philip often shares how much he values their bi-continental dynamic. Being in different cities means that when they do come together, they offer one another their full, undivided attention. It has brought a sense of excitement and intention to their connection that feels truly special.
Their relationship continues to flourish as they blend their international lifestyles with ease.
